Don't forget the University of Minnesota

I was pleased to read the article about the construction of the NOνA neutrino experiment in Minnesota (Oct. 2011 issue). It's nice, but it lacks a certain perspective. The article mentions that NOνA is a collaboration of 28 institutions; none but Fermilab and Indiana University are mentioned. In particular, the University of Minnesota took great responsibility for the construction of the laboratory that will house the experiment, and it now plays a major role in the construction of the detector. These construction projects are based on a collaborative agreement between the Department of Energy and the University of Minnesota with significant technical and management support from Fermilab.
