Day in the life: Snowmass 2005
In August 2005 nearly seven hundred physicists and engineers from around the world traveled to the small Rocky Mountain town of Snowmass, Colorado, to advance the planning and design of the proposed International Linear Collider. For two weeks, the scientists' activities dominated Snowmass village life, taking over the conference center, hotels, condominiums, and restaurants. Physics was the talk of the town, from discussions over coffee breaks to hands-on outreach activities for the public in the village mall and nearby Aspen.
