A Large Hadron Collider experiment at CERN’s particle accelerator in Switzerland has led to the first observation of a doubly charged tetraquark and its neutral partner.
Experts at Berkeley Lab finished winding more than 2,000 kilometers of superconducting wire into cables for new magnets that will help upgrade the Large Hadron Collider and the search for new physics.
New accelerator magnets are undergoing a rigorous training program to prepare them for the extreme conditions inside the upgraded Large Hadron Collider.
